After more than a decade in the field of communications, Anna Geismar Hallmark started The Comms Shop to help meet the communications needs of nonprofit organizations and social enterprises in the Austin community. 

Anna's experience is grounded in corporate crisis communications and reputation-building, with additional experience in nonprofit fundraising and advocacy campaigns. She worked for the bulk of her career at the communications agencies Public Strategies and  Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where she spent significant time on-site at major corporations facing intense public crises, and also worked with companies to enhance their reputations through corporate social responsibility efforts.

Having started her career at the Southern Poverty Law Center, working most recently at Environmental Defense Fund, and holding many volunteer positions with local organizations over the years, Anna brings to her work a strong understanding of the unique communications needs of nonprofit organizations.

Anna is a native Austinite with deep history of volunteerism and involvement in the community. She received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
